Are you remodeling a kitchen, bath or looking to add a design element elsewhere in the house?

If so, you have probably been intrigued by the beauty and timeless qualities of cement tiles. It is one of the favorite methods of architects and designers to making a design statement and while it’s very popular, the craft has been around for hundreds of years. Cement tiles come in endless combinations of patterns and colors. This allows them to flow into any design aesthetic seamlessly or provide that pop of color and pattern to bring an area to life.

If you have looked at cement tiles in the past you have noticed they are far more significant in size and weight than ceramic or porcelain tiles. The standard thickness for cement tiles is ⅝ inch or 15.5mm. While porcelain tiles range from ¼ inch to ¾ inch and ceramic tiles range from ¼ inch to ⅜ inch.

While the design of cement tiles attracts many buyers, the thickness can be a challenge in remodels because many floors and subfloors are set up for smooth transitions with these thinner tiles. Sometimes a transition (sloped or stepped raise) to thicker flooring isn’t possible or desired. This is where Lioness Tile has your solution!

Lioness Tiles are handmade in Jaipur, India by woman artisans (see Our Story). We make the finest tiles in the world that are tested to exceed global standards. Because of our skill and craftsmanship we have been able to make the same tiles in a thickness for remodel or vertical applications. Saving the weight and materials of the thicker, traditional tiles. Nearly all of our tile designs come in 9.5mm (or ⅜ inch) thickness options. We sell both 15.5m and 9.5m to suit your needs.
